Bill Owen
How it began...
Bill Owen commenced his career In the Insurance Industry as an agent for the former AMP Society advising clients on both life and general Insurance.
As the business grew and the need to provide insurance solutions from not just one provider, Bill entered into agency agreements with numerous
other Insurers and ran the business as a multi agency under the old Agents and Brokers Act.
In January 2004, Bill Owen Insurance Brokers Pty ltd was granted an Australian Financial Services License.
Having been in the insurance industry for now in excess of 25 years, Bill has a wealth of experience and knowledge that is imparted to the rest of
his team and clients regularly.
Bill's qualifications include a Diploma of Financial Planning and a Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance broking).
He is a Certified Financial
Planner and a Senior Associate of the Insurance Institute.

Angela Downs
Angela has attained her Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking) and looks after our expansive commercial register with the assistance
of Ben Donnelly.
Angela has been a part of the team since 1999 and heads up the insurance broking department as the Team Leader and is also the Senior
Commercial Broker.
Over the years Angela has developed a strong understanding of commercial and small to medium enterprises' needs.

Sonya Wilesmith
Sonya joined us in 2007 and since then has attained her Certificate IV in Financial Services and is currently studying towards her Diploma
of Financial Services (Insurance Broking).
Sonya looks after the domestic insurance register, being the home and contents, motor vehicle and landlords insurances.
Sonya also manages the aviation insurances with the assistance of Bill.

Ben Donnelly
Ben is the newest addition to our broking department and joined us in 2008. Ben works alongside Angela in the commercial division.
Ben has a Bachelor of Science and a Graduate Diploma in Economics.
He is also currently studying for his Diploma of Financial Services
(Insurance broking).

Amy Porta
We would like to welcome the newest member of our team, Amy! Amy will be our full time front office receptionist and is currently being
trained by Amiee prior to her departure.
Amy is new to the insurance industry and will be on training wheels for the next few months, so we would appreciate your patience and
understanding while she learns this new environment.
